Le nom, assez rare en France, se rencontre surtout dans le Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Il est par contre fréquent en Pologne, où il signifie 'enfant trouvé'. On me signale pour le même nom une forme allemande Neyder, qui devrait être une adaptation du polonais.
